  • How do I subscribe to WeType4u?

  • How do I create a document using this service?
  • Call our 800 number, enter your account number. Once you enter your account number and select your desired level of service, begin speaking after the beep. When you are through speaking, hang up. Your documents will be sent directly to the email address you provide to us.

  • How quickly will I receive my completed documents?
  • We provide the following levels of service:
    Silver Service - Documents delivered within 24 hours
    Gold Service - 9 hour turnaround, documents delivered by 9:00 a.m. the next day (for jobs called in before midnight).
    Platinum Service - Documents delivered within 4 hours upon completion of dictation.
    Dialogue - Conversation documents delivered within 1,3 or 5 business days.

  • What if I need to pause while I am speaking to gather my thoughts?
  • Press 1 on the telephone dial to pause recording. Press 2 to continue. If your phone for some reason gets disconnected while you are speaking what you have already recorded will come back to you as a completed job. Therefore, you should redial and begin speaking where you left off. Once both documents are delivered to you as Microsoft Word® document or chosen format, you can simply merge the documents together.

  • How much will this service cost?
  • We charge by the page and there are no minimum charges or set up fees. See Pricing Page for more information.

  • Are my documents saved by WeType4u?
  • Yes, all documents are saved in a virtual mailbox, which you can access upon by logging in with your account number and PIN. The virtual mailbox gives you the ability to search for jobs within specified date ranges of your choice. Once a job is selected you can view the job on your web browser and save it onto your computer.

  • In what format will I receive my work?
  • Documents will ordinarily be sent in Microsoft Word® so that you have final edit capability (other formats can be handled upon request). Documents are prepared using the Courier New font with 12 point type. We leave a 2 inch margin on the top, a 1 inch margin on both sides and a 1-1/2 inch margin on the bottom. Documents are single spaced with double spacing between paragraphs, after salutations, etc. (Unless other presentation is requested).

  • How do I ensure that the contents of my documents remain confidential?
  • The company utilizes a hardware-based firewall to control access to its servers. The firewall has two layers of security that uses industry standard, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. The SSL protocol protects HTTP transmissions over the Internet by adding a layer of encryption. This ensures that the Company's customer transactions are not subject to access by a third party.
    • All documents can be password protected when delivered in Microsoft Word
    • All jobs are dispersed amongst three geographically separated transcription centers
    • One can use "Codes" to protect name identity and then use the Microsoft Word " find and replace" function as a final edit


  • How do I change my user profile information?
  • Login on our website by entering your account number and PIN. You will then have the opportunity to change your user information.

  • How do I review my account activity?
  • Login on our website by entering your account number and PIN. You will then have the option to click on the "Status/Inbox/Order History" in the drop down menu link to review your account activity.

  • What are the set up fees for getting started with your service?
  • There are no set-up fees.

  • What are the monthly minimums?
  • There are no monthly minimums when using WeType4u. You pay only for what you have transcribed.

  • How much does it cost to set up templates with you?
  • Again, there are no additional fees for using our service. We will set up your templates for free.

  • Is there a limit to how many templates we can have set up in your system?
  • No, there is no limit to how many templates you can have.

  • Do you accept digital audio files?
  • Yes, we accept digital audio files. Use our free talknsend© to automatically upload your files to us.

  • How will I be billed?
  • For users set up for direct billing, an invoice will be sent to you at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s work. For users who have supplied credit card information, your account will be charged in the same manner.

  • Is there a wallet stuffer showing 800 # and phone pad key instructions?
  • Yes there is. Go to the Login screen, and enter account number and PIN. Open "phone card" screen and print.

  • If I cannot access e-mail, can I access my data via the web?
  • Yes. On our website go to the login screen. Enter account # and PIN. Open "Inbox/Order History".

  • Can I listen to and view my returned job?
  • Follow these simple steps:
    1. Access website: www.wetype4u.com
    2. Click on "login"
    3. Enter your account number and PIN
    4. Click on "InBox/Order History"
    5. Adjust dates at the top if necessary
    6. Click on the desired job number
    7. Click on "Listen/View"
    8. Save the document where you wish

  • What can I do with talknsend©?
  • talknsend© is a software dictation application used to record audio files and upload them to WeType4u. It enables you to record your dictation on your computer in MP3 format and then to upload themusing the simple user interface. The application permits you to:
    • Record audio file
    • Pause the recording
    • Playback the audio file
    • Rewind the audio file
    • Forward the audio file by five seconds
    • Go back by five seconds
    • Go to end of the audio file
    • Erase the audio file to the end
    • Save the audio file on the disk
    • Delete the audio file from the disk
    • View time elapsed and total duration of the audio file


  • What are the system requirements?
  • The minimum hardware requirements are:
    • 32 MB of RAM
    • 16 bit full-duplex sound card
    • Unidirectional or omni directional microphone
    You should be using one of the following operating system:
    • Microsoft Windows 98
    • Microsoft Windows XP
    • Microsoft Windows 2000
    • Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
    • Microsoft Windows Me

  • How long can I record for?
  • talknsend© will allow you to record for as long as you wish. The only constraint is the free hard disk space on your computer.

  • How are files submitted to WeType4u™ for transcription?
  • After you have saved the audio file and entered the required details of the job (Account Number, Priority/Service Level, and Template), you will send the job files to our FTP site.
    Although the application uses the default Internet connection settings of your computer, you can set up a proxy server to connect to the Internet.

  • Can I upload files that I create using some other dictation application?
  • Yes from the “Upload/E-Mail File(s)” screen, locate the file(s) you wish to upload and enter the job details for the audio file(s). This will create an information file for each audio file. You can then send the audio file(s) and information file(s) to WeType4u™ for transcription.

  • How can I get a copy of the software?
  • You can download a FREE copy of talknsend© from our website.

  • How much does the software cost?
